The recovery process for the most part is automatic , at the initial stage you will have to select a memory stick this should be the drive letter that corresponds to your memory stick , if you are using a mobile phone or digital camera directly connected to the computer it is required to support mass media storage and appear as a removable drive in windows explor , if your phone or camera does not support this you will be required to use a memory card reader these are cheapily available online .
Once the recovery process has started a progress bar will show you the time left , this depends on the size of the memory card but should take no more that 10 minutes during this time you will see a list of files it finds, please note the application may appear frozen at times this is normal and do not close it down untill it is finished.
After the recovery process you will be presented with a screen showing the recovered files and the file types.
The quick select buttons allow you to select all the photos or you can indidualy select a file
Once you have have selected your photos click recover , if you have not purchased a registration key you will be asked if you want to register or it will limit you to saving only two photos per time the application is run , if you click yes it will allow you to register the application and save all files , the application will save your photos to the output directory specified at the start as a default this points to your my documents and as a safety feature you cannot pick your memory stick as the recovery device as this is ponentially dangerous to the recovery.
Always ensure you have the latest version by clicking the download button on the left hand side and comparing the available version with the one you are running .
**PLEASE NOTE **
Some recovered files may be corrupt , in recovering files it is not always possible to get a file back if it has been overwritten or the drive was fragmented , if you save two files in the trial and they are corrupt or do not open please try another two files. |
